The OBD2 port, also known as the OBD-II port, is a universal plug that is installed in all cars from the year 2006 onwards. It has many applications, but it is most commonly used for running vehicle diagnostics.
Using the OBD2 port to power a tracking device makes installation quick and easy compared to traditional vehicle trackers, which require manual installation and wiring by an auto-electrician.
Usually, you will find the OBD2 port located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Simply plug the tracking device into your OBD2 port, and it will begin tracking your vehicle automatically.
If you're unsure if your vehicle has an OBD2 port or of the port location, please send us an email with the make/model and year of your vehicle, and we will let you know.
